How it works / Local Soil

Local Assemblies

Community decisions and responsibilities close to home. Local Assemblies bring neighbours together to become informed, consider proposals and decide their shared priorities.

Explore this jurisdiction’s purpose, pillar responsibilities and maintained structural records.

Purpose and relationships

The people of the Local Assembly entrust clearly defined work to Office holders, Committees and others. Decisions stay close to those affected. Those carrying the work keep records, report progress and return questions beyond their mandate to the Assembly. Defined shared responsibilities may be entrusted nationally.
