Dated progress reports and milestones will be added here as they are supplied. The purpose and scope below describe the group’s work.

This team will work with the Information Technology Committee to deliver necessary functionality for online voting, but will also encompass non-online solutions.

1. Purpose

Our role is to support the Assembly in expressing the collective will of the people through transparent and Lawful voting processes.

2. Scope & Responsibilities

Coordinate elections
Oversee and support the organisation of Assembly-related votes, including:

  • Guard the process: Identify and uphold eligibility criteria for qualified electors and nominees based on Assembly agreements.
  • Provide for initiatives that may require capturing votes of Australian Citizens as well.

3. Guiding Principles
Transparency: All processes must be open and visible to Assembly members. Initiative and/or nominees for election details must be provided allowing fully informed decisions by electors.
Fairness: Every qualified elector has an equal voice.
Consent: Authority is granted through the free will of the people.
Integrity: Results must reflect the true will of those present and voting.
Subsidiarity: Local decisions are made at the most local level possible, unless escalated by agreement.

Roles may include: Convenor, Recorder, Returning Officer, Technical Liaison
