Public Assets Working Group
Mission: To research, document, and lawfully reclaim public assets — beginning with vacated public buildings — into the custody of the people via the Assemblies.
Structure: Small Working Group (6–10), collaborating closely with Assembly Coordinators, Guardianage Pillar, PKTF, etc.
Step 1: Define the End State
- Public buildings and assets are lawfully capitulated to the assemblies in behalf of the people.
- Appropriate stewards or caretakers (via local Assembly processes) manage assets for the common good.
- Public access and use are restored under the lawful jurisdiction of the Assembly.
- Clear documentation affirms the lawful claim.
Step 2: Document the Current State
- Identify publicly funded or Crown-held properties that are abandoned or underused.
- Research ownership history, trust obligations, titles, and corporate structures.
- Determine the current legal position of each asset and relevant legislation or custodians.
Step 3: Develop the Plan of Action
- Establish a standardised lawful process for claiming assets:
- Drafting and serving Notices of Intent and Lawful Claim
- Publicly publishing all documentation
- Coordinating with local Assemblies for inspection, usage, receipt of keys and care taking
- Create a working template for replication across regions.
- Collaborate with legal and Lawful researchers to ensure robustness.
Step 4: Implement and Manage the Process
- Begin with pilot assets in selected locations.
- Engage local communities and Assemblies as peaceful stewards.
- Maintain public transparency and documentation.
- Build a national record of reclaimed assets under Assembly stewardship.
- Report monthly to the National Assembly.
