The Land Recording Office (LRO) Working Group has been established to explore, evaluate, and recommend a secure, user-friendly web hosting solution to support the vital record keeping functions of the Terra Australis State Nationals and their Assemblies. This group is responsible for laying the technical foundation for an online LRO platform that will serve as a trusted and lawful public record for reconveyance documents, land and property records, and other Assembly-related filings.
Group members will research both commercial and open-source hosting options, assess security and data sovereignty implications, and investigate best practices for digital archiving, document authentication, and tiered access (public/private). The end goal is to provide a fully scoped recommendation that balances accessibility with security, supports decentralised Assembly operations, and can grow with the evolving needs of the people.
This working group is collaborative by nature, encouraging contributions from people with technical, administrative, or user-experience backgrounds. Tasks may include comparing platforms, defining user requirements, mapping workflows, and outlining governance procedures for document submission and maintenance. Input from the broader Assembly community will be welcomed and integrated through ongoing consultation.
Ultimately, this initiative will support the lawful return of control to the people over their most fundamental property—land, home, and name—by ensuring that the Assembly-led Land Recording Office operates independently of the legacy system and stands on a lawful, accessible, and incorruptible foundation.
