We are in need of technically skilled freedom-minded volunteers to join us in building secure, independent digital infrastructure to enable Terra Australis assembly-based self-governance. If you have expertise, time to contribute and a desire to create the assemblies, we invite you to take part in this important initiative.

Terra Australis IT Working Group Charter

Purpose & Mission

The Terra Australis IT Team provides secure, independent, and resilient digital infrastructure to support the self-governing assemblies and growing community of State Nationals. Our mission is to develop, maintain, and protect the technology necessary to ensure private, censorship-resistant communication, coordination, and resource sharing.

Key Areas of Focus

A. Infrastructure & Hosting

  • Self-hosted servers for websites, email, and communication platforms
  • Decentralised data storage
  • Alternative DNS solutions to avoid reliance on mainstream registrars
  • Backup & redundancy planning to prevent data loss and service outages

B. Communications & Collaboration

  • Private, secure email & messaging systems
  • Video conferencing
  • Assembly-focused forums & discussion platforms
  • Social media alternatives

C. Web Development (immediate start)

  • WordPress expertise to work with the Communications Committee
    • update TASA website content (add/edit events, News & Updates and new content)
    • content corrections and updates
    • enhancement to assembly websites
  • Collaboration solutions
    Elections solution

D. Cyber-security & Digital Sovereignty

  • Encryption standards
  • Secure authentication methods
  • Surveillance resistance

The IT Team operates as a decentralised collective, where members contribute based on skills and expertise. It functions semi-autonomously, making recommendations and seeking authority to proceed from either TASA or the National Assembly as appropriate.
