On Monday evening, something important quietly took place.

The first national Local Assembly Coordinator chat was held — bringing together coordinators from across the country to collaborate, share experience, and strengthen one another.

And by all accounts, it was a great night.

One of the most encouraging aspects of the call was the atmosphere.

Experienced coordinators showed up ready to guide, support, and share practical wisdom with newer faces stepping into coordinator roles.

This is how strong assemblies are built:

There were thoughtful discussions and plenty of practical questions, including:

These conversations matter.

Several assemblies shared positive developments:

Capricorn Coast: Proserpine: Townsville: They are signs of life, continuity, and increasing maturity.

This first Coordinators call marks an important structural evolution.

As more assemblies form and more coordinators step forward, a national collaboration space becomes essential to:

When coordinators are supported, assemblies are stronger. What stood out most from the evening was the tone.

This is the culture that sustains long-term success:

It reflects the shared foundation of moral responsibility, and community-focused governance, by the people for the people.

This was only the first weekly call.

If the energy and spirit of this meeting are any indication, the Coordinators call will become a cornerstone support structure for both emerging and established assemblies.

The more we collaborate, the stronger we become.

And the stronger we become, the more confidently we can serve our communities.

Thank you for stepping forward.

Encouraging local updates

The Capricorn Coast Assembly is preparing to hold elections this weekend to formally seat their Interim Assembly — a significant milestone demonstrating structure and forward movement.

Proserpine reported steady, regular attendance and the encouraging step of beginning reconveyance documentation workshops. Consistency builds confidence, and confidence builds assemblies.

Townsville shared enthusiasm about returning to Ravenswood over the May long weekend (2–4 May), continuing community connection and engagement.

The feedback and write up in The Terra Australisan (July-September edition) indicates that the Anzac weekend event was a roaring fun filled success, and this one is not to be missed.

These updates are not small things.

Why this matters

When assemblies are stronger, the people are better served.

A Culture of cooperation
