Update from the Moreton Bay Assembly Coordinators

Hi all

💥 We have a big day planned!  See you Saturday 23 May!

Workshop with Marcus with shared lunch followed by General Assembly

1️⃣ Workshop 9.15am - 12.30pm

There are two systems being deployed right now.  A cause for confusion for most people.  There is a neutral tool that can serve either - but it needs the living to turn up.

This workshop helps us understand what is happening, why it matters for our assemblies, and what we can do about it - starting today.

Marcus will cover:

The two tracks — QFS (institutional) and GFG (sovereignty) — what they are and who owns them
XRPL — neutral, open-source infrastructure that serves both
The XRP escrow — a strategic position most people do not know about
Hands-on: wallets, transactions, recording documents
Assembly applications: recording, voting, treasury, value transfer
Bring your laptop or smartphone.  See attached flyer for more information.

Donations are invited for Marcus’s time.

2️⃣ Shared Lunch

Please bring lunch to share 12.30pm-1.30pm.  We are also celebrating a special occasion.

3️⃣ General Assembly
We will have our assembly meeting after lunch.

When: Saturday 23 May 2026
Time: 2.00pm-4.00pm
Where: Banyo RSL, 611 Hayden Street, Nudgee
Who: Open to all – bring a friend along!

We will present the current draft of the Memorandum of Comprehension and have a Q&A panel to explore real life scenarios on how to respond to unwanted engagements.

Only some segments of these events will be livestreamed, so we encourage you to join us live.

👉 Finding your place within the assembly

Linda will continue to be available to collect and update our records so that we have accurate details of voting members when it is time to vote on proposals. Please bring your RRP number, proclamation date and type of reconveyance i.e. basic or full package.

We encourage you to take this opportunity to discuss your skills, background and passions with her so that you can find a place where you can contribute within the assembly.

❓ Callout

This is a callout to the fellow who asked Marcus about quaternary DNA & its superiority to binary digital at Sandbag on 24 January. One of our members missed catching you after that meeting and wants to get in touch to explore that subject. If that was you, please reply to this email so he can contact you.
